Leading Ladies of TFS Healthcare
We at TFS Healthcare have a hard-working, bar-raising, record-setting bunch of ladies who we are SO proud to work with! We asked just some of our leading ladies (spoiler alert: we’re all leading ladies) one key question: What advice would you give a career focused woman? Each of these women bring creativity, guidance, motivation, and inspiration to TFS Healthcare, ensuring we show all our healthcare professionals the same courtesy – we are valued and so are you!
Hannah – Senior Marketing Executive
We began our leading ladies of TFS with our wonderful Hannah. Graduating with a 1st from the University of Sussex, Hannah was keen to begin her career in Marketing. Diving headfirst into the industry, Hannah has worked her way up from a marketing intern position to where she is now, the only way is up! Always striving to learn more and develop professionally, she was able to make a name for herself in the industry, eventually being head hunted to run TFS’ marketing division. Hannah has grown the brand so successfully over the last year it has also allowed the marketing team to grow. Hannah is always encouraging and will go to the ends of the earth to help anyone, both professionally and personally. If Hannah were to give us any advice, it would be: “My biggest advice would be to never stop striving to learn and develop within and around your role – by speaking to people, getting involved in any available training and being open-minded to understanding changes in your industry. Improving your knowledge can increase your ability to progress in your career, and also allow you to help out your colleagues more too.”
Lauren – Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant
Lauren joined TFS Healthcare in 2016, moving from external recruitment to recruiting for internal positions within the company. Lauren is almost a mind-reader and can tell straight away when someone is a perfect fit for a role, uncovering the best talent London has to offer, always with a smile! At all times Lauren is a positive force and will always find a way to make us all laugh and smile. The key part to Lauren’s role is building effective relationships throughout the business, from divisional managers working with her to grow their teams, to the candidates coming in for their first interview. Lauren’s advice to women would be: “Always show that you are effective with your listening. Listening can be such an important tool and will allow you to build relationships at work and at home. It is such a simple skill that will allow you to build trust from both sides and always put the right people in the right role.”
Chloe – Office Manager & Executive PA
Coming up to her 10-year work anniversary and started her role as a Senior Sales Support Administrator right at the start of TFS Healthcare, she’s a lifer! Proving her excellent organisational talents could be utilised elsewhere, to better benefit the company as a whole, after nearly 3 years, Chloe became the Executive PA to our CEO Ben as well as our Office Manager. In this successful time for Chloe, she has also had and is raising a beautiful little girl who will grow to see how amazingly awesome her mum is! Chloe’s advice to women would be: “Always remain positive, work hard and you can achieve everything you wanted and more! Keep betting on yourself and if at first you fail, get up and try again.”
Amelia – Principal Consultant
Amelia is coming up to her 6-year anniversary with TFS Healthcare. A classic case of hard work and fierce determination Amelia started in our Out of Hours team and is now one of the most successful consultants in the business. She has excellent rapport with all her nurses and always finds time to speak to 150 nurses per week!! To show a little appreciation for her unmatched work-ethic, Amelia won TFS Healthcare’s Consultant of the Year – we love to see it! Amelia’s advice to women would be: “Chop life, don’t let it chop you!”
Ellie – Divisional Manager
Ellie’s first ever role in recruitment started with working alongside our CEO, Ben. Ellie was such a feracious recruiter, she was immediately asked to join TFS Healthcare and started her career with us as a Compliance Officer. After nearly 7 years with the business, Ellie has proved her work ethic over and over again, promotion after promotion to where she is now, a Divisional Manager. WOW! Ellie’s advice to women really does ring true, simple yet powerful: “Always back yourself!”
Liz – Director of People and Performance
We ended our look into leading ladies of TFS, with our wonderful Liz Bass, one of our esteemed female Directors of TFS Healthcare. Liz began her career in recruitment as a consultant, eventually leading her to open and run her own successful recruitment agency for 15 years. Liz achieved her Associate CIPD and afterward, paving her way to become TFS Healthcare’s Director of People and Performance. Liz is a powerful force within TFS Healthcare, always professional, nurturing and encouraging to every individual in the company. Liz’s advice to women: “My advice to any and all women within a working environment, regardless of role would be to really believe in yourself, take full responsibility and ownership for your career, your personal development and your future and don’t let anyone tell you it can’t be done! Women have many natural skills that are hugely beneficial and contribute to the success of a business, their ability to foster strong relationships with others, the ability to listen, to support, to collaborate, to champion others. We are now in a time where women have more opportunity than ever before, and we are seeing more and more women step forward into leadership roles at the highest levels across all industries including previously male dominated ones, so there has never been a better time for women to set the bar high for themselves and truly take charge of their career and earning opportunity.”
