Revalidation extension and FtP changes announced by NMC

March 20, 2020 0 Comments

The NMC has released a ‘package of measures’ to educate workers on what they will ‘continue to do, stop or modify’ in the current outbreak including revalidation extension.

An announcement made by the nursing regulator has said that revalidation periods for registered nurses will be extended and fitness to practice work will be scaled back during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“This means they will each have an additional three months from their current revalidation application date to complete their application,” the NMC stated.

The NMC have also postponed some face-to-face hearings and have stated that no new ones will be made at present.

TFS Healthcare has unfortunately had to cancel the upcoming revalidation seminar on Tuesday 24th March 2020. We will be re-scheduling and an email will be sent with updated information.

If you have any questions regarding the changes, please don’t hesitate to call your consultant or contact us.
